Refund & Cancellation
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all paid PROVRA subscriptions. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By subscribing you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
Refunds are available only on paid subscriptions (Premium and Premium Plus). The Free tier has nothing to refund. Refunds are issued in the original currency and to the original payment method (INR via Razorpay; USD via Stripe).
2. 7-Day No-Questions Refund (First-Time Subscribers)
If you are subscribing to PROVRA for the first time, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your first paid charge — no questions asked. Simply email us at the address below from the email tied to your account.
3. Prorated Refunds (Annual Plans, After 7 Days)
For annual subscriptions cancelled after the 7-day window:
- You must have used the Service for at least 30 days before a prorated refund is available.
- The refund is calculated based on unused full months from the date of refund request.
- Partial months are not refunded.
- Promotional discounts and the value of any redeemed founding-member benefit are excluded from the refund calculation.
4. How to Request a Refund
Email akhiljimmy18@gmail.com with the subject line “Refund Request — [email used at signup]”. Include:
- The email on your PROVRA account.
- The transaction ID (visible in your Razorpay / Stripe receipt).
- Reason for the refund (optional within the 7-day window; helpful afterwards).
5. Processing Time
We initiate refunds within 3 business days of acknowledging your request. Once initiated:
- UPI / wallet (Razorpay): 1–3 business days back to your account.
- Cards (Razorpay/Stripe): 5–10 business days, depending on issuing bank.
- Net banking (Razorpay): up to 7 business days.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Subscriptions cancelled after 11 months of an annual term.
- Founding-member or other promotional credits redeemed on the account.
- Subscriptions terminated by us for breach of the Terms of Service (e.g. abuse, fraud, harassment).
- Add-on or one-time-purchase items, if and when introduced (these will say so at purchase).
7. Failed Payments and Renewals
If your renewal payment fails, we retry the charge up to three times over 7 days. If all retries fail, your subscription downgrades automatically to the Free tier. Because no successful charge occurred, no refund is needed.
8. Currency
Refunds are issued in the original currency to the original payment method. We cannot convert between INR and USD on refund. GST or other taxes that were collected at the time of purchase are refunded with the corresponding amount.
9. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you raise a chargeback with your bank or card network instead of contacting us, we will respond to the payment processor (Razorpay or Stripe) within 5 business days with our records of the transaction. To save everyone time and fees, we recommend emailing us first.
